2-Day Chalet Chef Cookery Course 14th & 15th November
Professional Chalet Chef Training for the Ski Season
Heading off to the mountains for the ski season? Get your kitchen skills in shape before you go with our 2-Day Chalet Chef Cookery Course.
This intensive, 2 day hands-on course is designed for aspiring chalet chefs and cooks who want to build the skills, confidence and repertoire needed to cook fantastic food in a luxury chalet environment.
Over the two days, Sally, our Kitchen Manager and experienced Chalet Chef, will teach you how to create canapés, starters, impressive main courses, desserts and petit fours. With 10 seasons of experience across the Alps, she’ll also share how to prep efficiently, manage timings, plate beautifully and deliver a multi-course dinner with confidence.
What you’ll learn
You'll learn the practical skills needed to confidently plan, prepare and serve a luxury chalet dinner.
We'll cover professional mise en place and kitchen organisation, canapé preparation, starters, main courses, meat and poultry preparation, sauces and accompaniments, pastry, desserts and petit fours.
You'll also learn how to work efficiently with advance preparation, timings, portion control and presentation, all essential when you're cooking for guests in a busy chalet kitchen.
Why you should take this class
Because cooking for a chalet full of hungry skiers is about much more than producing great food.
You'll need to be organised, adaptable and confident enough to prepare several elements at once, work to service timings and produce food that looks as good as it tastes.
This course gives you the chance to practise those skills in a relaxed, supportive environment, while building a repertoire of dishes that you can take straight into your next ski season.
Whether you're completely new to chalet cooking or simply want to sharpen your skills before heading out to the mountains, you'll leave feeling more confident and much better prepared.
